DESCRIPTION

The use of slewing rings permits both sides of the brake back
plates to be welded simultaneously. A special feature being the
use of positional servos driving the slewing rings. The backplates
are also positioned along the length of the axle. Tailstock units at
each end locate the axle concentrically. This machine forms part
of a fully automatic axle welding line and is gantry robot loaded
and unloaded.
