DESCRIPTION

This special variation on a standard lathe is designed to
accommodate irregular shaped components (exhaust pipes
shown) and permit welding internally at the right hand side.

The bedway has tool locations every 400mm for modular tooling
units to be snapped into. The tube rests in a 'V' adjacent to the
weld and a retractable torch (MIG) is applied to weld tube stiffeners
internally or flanges. The free standing controls have dual hand
cycle start buttons for safety. A unique feature is the roller plates
adjacent to the weld which aids precision and rigidity, it has a 'U'
cut out and multiple rollers to stop the tool 'drooping' due to its
length and weight.
