DESCRIPTION

The use of stainless steel domestic hot water cylinders has led to
a demand for simple welding lathes capable of applying an AVC
controlled TIG weld to thin wall cylinders yet coping with ovality.

The tailstock is pneumatically advanced to clamp the assembly
and gas is fed through the centre into the component for backing
purposes. The machine is PLC controlled to sequence the AVC,
TIG torch and cold wire feed.
