DESCRIPTION

The use of PPLC technology on our most sophisticated lathe has
taken hydraulic cylinder welding to a new plane.

Automatic program generation is achieved by selecting a joint
configuration and then specifying the root diameter, external
diameter and angle. A welding program is then automatically
generated to position the torch for multipass welding. A capping
weave program can be generated. The number of computations is
only limited by hard disk storage space!

Welding parameters are controlled via analogue outputs from the
program and can vary from pass to pass.

The welding cycle can be stopped and started as required mid
cycle along with inspection cycles being inserted.
